What happens in the soul?
The soul reaches a much deeper intimacy with the Good Lord. A part of your attention habitually remains turned inward, in a silent dialogue with God, even as you continue to carry out the ordinary activities of your life. Prayer no longer only occupies certain moments. The presence of the Good Lord begins to accompany the soul internally during a good part of the day. The prayer of the heart is fully achieved.
The action of the Good Lord
the Good Lord attracts the soul towards an increasingly intimate union with Him. Interior silence, peace and meditation grow. The person experiences a deep desire to meet God and learns to remain interiorly with Him. In this intimacy they can discern His will and receive enlightenment and graces.
How do you live?
The person lives with a deep and stable peace that does not depend on circumstances. Even during the trials the person maintains an inner serenity that has been consolidated throughout full Enlightenment. Spontaneously seek recollection. The person can remain silent for long periods of time without feeling uncomfortable and tries to organize the person’s life in a sober and stable way, reserving specific times for prayer. The person progressively distances himself from agitation, crowds and unnecessary noise, preferring peace and silence. A part of your attention remains directed inward, in silent dialogue with God. For this reason, the person may sometimes seem distracted, especially when the person perceives spiritual movements related to the events happening around the person. In coexistence, however, the person remains happy and simple, although one can perceive in the person’s a look that seems to penetrate people more deeply.
The prayer
The prayer of the heart is fully achieved. It is an intimate prayer with the Good Lord in which the entire being participates: body, mind and spirit. The three powers come together in the same prayer. From this intimacy, the soul can deeply encounter the Good Lord, discern His will and receive illuminations and graces. The encounter with God thus begins to extend over the entire life: silence, work, relationships and daily activities can be lived while internally maintaining that attention towards Him.

Where does it lead
The soul has achieved deep inner stability and prayer of the heart. But the Illuminative Way is not over yet. Before reaching the Unitive Way, the soul must go through a final progressive state, in which the soul will begin to receive graces that anticipate future union and will be prepared for a new and profound purification.
